(and he does have many of these) He's a gentleman, through and through, though. He always gives his all, sort of an all or nothing person, and he's extremely passionate. He can have a temper if you dis something or someone he loves, but this is more of a recent thing...He wasn't always like that. Despite the troubles he's had, he remains the perfect gentleman and the ladies are always swooning over him and think that he's into them simply because he's polite...

The Love Story

Ken Stevenson and Merilee Andrews met when they were both seventeen at a AA show in Belgium. Of course, Ken got one look at Merilee and fell head over heels in love. She was a bit of a player, though, and, realizing that she had him hooked without even trying, she played with him for a while. She'd come to him and then wander off again and then come back. After a while, he wised up and realized what was happening, and he got angry and he quit playing back. Of course then Merilee realized she actually did love him and went back and begged for forgiveness. They were married a year later, at 19 years of age.

The Baby Boy

Kyler was a bit of an accident. The Stevensons were both at the peak of their riding careers. Of course, birth control isn't ever 100% effective, and pop, along came Kyler. Of course, Ken wasn't especially happy with the new bundle of joy but Merilee was smitten. She instantly dropped her riding career for the baby boy. Ken was a little bit bitter, though, about the end of his wife's career, especially since she'd been well on he rway to national recognition. So of course, when she was killed in a riding accident, leaving Ken with little Kyler, he wasn't very happy about it.

Bad Must End

Of course, with two highly talented equestrians for parents, it was only natural that Kyler was also an extremely good hand with horses. By the time he was 8 he was riding green horses. Of course his father let him do some pretty stupid things, being none too fond of the boy, but Kyler never managed to get himself killed. At any rate, when Kyler turned 17, he decided that he was going to head to the States to see what he could do with himself there. He took the mare, Shimmer, whom he'd gained at 14 as an unmanageable, willful horse, and her son Jupiter with him.

New Moon Academy

Practically his first day at New Moon Academy he met a girl named Cristie. She was also a foreigner and they seemed to hit it off right away. Then she got pissed and went out partying, and there she got raped. Of course, Kyler was the one who was there that night. And after that, they only grew closer. Of course, it wasn't long after that when Kyler entered the fateful cross country competition. He had a horrific wreck. Shimmer slipped coming down and lost her footing, landing wrong and snapping her leg. Kyler was knocked out cold, and, if not for his helmet, probably would have died. Because he was unconscious, and obviously unable to make the decision, Shimmer was put to sleep. Kyler might have tried to save her. It might not have made any difference but at least he would have tried. Devastated, him and Cristie drew closer. Of course, after graduation, both Kyler and Cristie went their separate ways. That's one of Kyler's regrets. Letting her go. Not long after that, he sold Jupiter, to a young girl who was learning to event. Jupiter seemed the perfect horse for her, once he was gelded. That is Kyler's second regret.

The Aftermath

Kyler wandered around for a while and eventually ended up in Kadin, Kentucky with a job grooming for Riverside...
