amy was blessed by the heavens with an athletic build and wonderful riding body. she is thin, with a flat stomach (including dream abs) and noticeable curves. her hips also stick out at a somewhat embarrassing level and are attached to slim, well toned legs. jen is finely built, with a small bone structure that causes her petite body to appear delicate; amy, however, is stronger than she looks. with a high metabolism, she is someone who heavier people hate because she can eat anything she wants without gaining weight where-as if they so much look at a hand-burger, their pounds add up. amy, being horse-crazed, isn't one for much fashion and usually wears jeans, shorts, or even khaki's. her shirts are short-sleeved, nothing too fancy, much like the one in the photo above. when the weather is cooler she'll wear a simple jacket, usually gray, white or light blue, on top.
just like most everyone else in the hall family, amy is a brunette with straight hair. she keeps her hair style simple - just past her shoulders with long layers. she has bangs that slope to one side and are thankfully long enough to sweep behind one ear to keep them out of her face. her favorite hair style is a pony-tail and you'll often see her with an elastic band around her wrist. her face is oval shaped and thin without the odd gaunt look. amy is pale, despite her love for the outdoors and the endless hours in the sun, she doesn't tan, or freckle, which she can honestly say she doesn't miss. amy has very lightly colored eyes, a beautiful mixture of blue and gray. most say they are her best feature, not just because of their color, but because you can always use them as a guide as to how she is feeling.

-- * GOOD MEMORY .
" I remember the day I got Spartan - my first horse of my very own. He was beautiful, the white star standing out perfectly against his black coat. He was galloping around the paddock, looking very graceful for a yearling - of course I feel in love right then and there. "
-- * BAD MEMORY .
" The accident may be fuzzy, but I remember seeing bright headlights and hearing the sound of the other car connecting with the driver's side - where Ashley was sitting. Of course, everything after that was a blur. "
-- * HISTORY.
Its the classic story - Andrew Hall and Jessica Griffin where high school sweethearts, got married right after college and started a family. Both had grown up in Lexington, Kentucky, and horse racing was their lives. Jessica had always aspired to be a jockey, though her parents made her wait until she was eighteen - a legal adult. Andrew's parents had their own little breeding and training operation formed - which Jessica and Andrew took over after getting married. Their first year of stable owner was a bit trying, but they managed and the Thoroughbred stable grew in the following years, still small by successful. It was in those years that Andrew and Jessica started their family, starting with a daughter, a little brown, curly haired girl named Ashley.
Three years later, on a cold February day, Amelia Anne was born along with her twin brother, Parker. Before long the couple had three toddlers wobbling around the stables, demanding to be lifted up to peer into the stalls of gentle eyed broodmares or watching powerful racers charging around the training track. Amy's live centered around horses - she remembers going to various race tracks and her parents celebrating when one of their horses won. She remembers sitting on the broad back of her mother's prized mare, then retired, and Jessica's hands steadying her while looking on proudly. Horses were Amy's life and she helped around the stables everyday, her favorite place the peaceful mare and foal barn - besides, how could one resist looking in on the fluffy tailed foals?
Amy's first mount was a stocky pony, a chestnut gelding named Lancelot. The girl always knew that her parents hoped she would love horse racing as much as them and possibly become a jockey like her mom in the future. Theres no doubt Amy loves racing - once she was old enough she began exercising some of her parent's older and gentler horses in training, which was always exciting. However, from the first time the little girl boldly jumped her pony over a fallen log, eventing has fascinated her. Clearly, her parents were a bit disappointed with her change of interests, though they supported her like good parents - even if they didn't always show it. Anyway, it pleased them that she still made time for a few horses in training during the mornings.
Amy never realized how supportive her parents were until she was about thirteen or so, she was given a Thoroughbred yearling that her parents had bred. Amy loved Spartan right away, and though she couldn't starting training him for a few years, she spend time with him everyday. When he was a few years older, her parents helped her back him to the saddle. Eventually, she was taking him on trail rides and before long she was hopping over their first jumps. Spartan is still learning of course, and they have hit a few bumps - like Spartan's fear of water. But the stallion is coming along real nice.
When Amy was sixteen, she and her older sister were in a car accident. Amy was fine - a few scrapes and a broken arm, though Ashley didn't make it. The two sisters were really close, and Amy was devestated, and this is a major reason why she moved from Lexington once she turned 18.

my was it relaxing to be riding spartan again. the stallion was so responsive, so in-tuned with amy. he wasn't the best neck reiner, but he was sensitive enough to her cues and seat that it made up for his inexperience to western riding. amy herself looked even tinier perched on top of a nearly seventeen hand horse. her ability to control the animal had been questioned many times at shows - surely this petite girl couldn't have the strength to handle the powerful and quick thoroughbred. of course she couldn't over-power spartan, or any horse - who could and who would want to? there was no doubt who would win between an almost 1000 pound animal and a mere human. still, amy would always claim teamwork was her tactic.
speaking of spartan, the young stallion wasn't so sure about being near another stallion either. part of it could be territorial. if you thought about it, in spartan's mind he could see this farm as his, even though other stallions had lived here longer. or it could simply be bad experience - amy often went trail riding with her brother and sister, and parker owned the nastiest horse she had ever met. romeo was drop-dead gorgeous, but got along with no-one but parker - he would barely let anyone around him let alone on his back. romeo also held something against other horses, so spartan might be remembering all the times the smaller black stallion had tried to kick or bite him and all of the times he actually did. amy couldn't help dropping her hand to his neck, rubbing his satin like coat in reassurance.
when they reached the start of the trail, amy moved spartan up into the space ty offered, side by side to him and splash. the black stallioned copied the appaloosa, transitioning into a springy trot that didn't at all resemble the slower jog of a western horse, which was easy to sit. the horse's long stride also threatened to over take the appaloosa and amy tightened the reins, slowing the thoroughbred's trot so they stayed next to ty and his horse. for a moment amy felt a little clumsy; it felt very odd to be sitting spartan's trot when she was so used to posting when she rode him. the thoroughbred's trot wasn't exactly easy to sit either. hum. I haven't rode him western in a while... she murmured almost to herself, her voice very soft, barely a whisper.
