-- * GENERAL APPEARANCE .
Parker's hair is a very, very dark brown - much darker than his sister's - some people mistake it for black at first. He keeps it a bit long though much past his ears - it usually looks quite shaggy and bed-head like since he hardly bothers to comb it. When it grows out, you can see a few waves, though never very many. Probably one of the only similarities between Parker and Amy is their facial structure. Both of their faces have a slightly narrowed oval shape, though Parker has a tanner complexion than his pale skinned sister. Unlike Amy, he tans much easier and does have a light sprinkling of freckles that get harder to see each year. His eyes are a dark hazel color; sort of a brown color with hints of green. Overall, it is sort of a plain color that doesn't stick out of his face much.
Parker has always been a bit taller, which he gets from his dad. Sure, he isn't the tallest in his age group and certainly doesn't compare much with the basketball players, but compared to his jockey mother and equally tiny sisters, he seems towering. Since he had always been a skinny boy, in his early teen years Parker was quite the gangly and lanky kid - he seemed too tall for himself and looked clumsy. Luckily, he has grown into himself a bit - mostly thanks to the fact that he works out, and he now has more of a lean, muscular build. Just like his sister, Parker goes for a more casual look when dressing himself - jeans, t-shirts, plain long sleeves, etc. He isn't much for wearing shorts either.

" Hum, one of my favorite memories was when Faith won her first race. It was her second or third race, but she was already acting as calm as an old pro. She broke from the gate and headed straight to second place before passing the other horses in the backstretch - I was so excited that I was shaking when she won. "
-- * BAD MEMORY .
" Well, when I was ten or so, I was riding my bike when suddenly I flew from the seat - I'm not really sure what happened, whether I hit a rock or the tire just swerved, but I ended up fractioning my wrist. "
-- * HISTORY.
Since Parker and Amy are twins, their histories are pretty similar. Their parents, Andrew Hall and Jessica Griffin, where high school sweethearts who got married right after college and started a family. Both had grown up in Lexington, Kentucky, and horse racing was their lives. Jessica had always aspired to be a jockey, though her parents made her wait until she was eighteen - a legal adult. Andrew's parents had their own little breeding and training operation formed - which Jessica and Andrew took over after getting married. Their first year of stable owner was a bit trying, but they managed and the Thoroughbred stable grew in the following years, still small by successful. It was in those years that Andrew and Jessica started their family, starting with a daughter, a little brown, curly haired girl they named Ashley.
Three years later, in February, Jessica gave birth to the twins - Parker and Amy, who were about as different as can be. Growing up Parker had always been louder, more out-going while Amy hung back and let her brother do most of the talking. But like their sister Ashley, both were horse crazed from a young age. Parker was always attracted to the excitement of the race track - he loved listening to his father explaining the clockings and training methods and went to horse races often. Parker was a lot more fascinated with the training end then he was the exercise riding - he was getting to tall to even think about being a jockey anyway. He did ride the horses in training every once in a while, and he certainly wasn't a bad rider - especially since he galloped around on his palomino mare Delilah almost every day.
When Parker was sixteen, both his sisters were out driving late and were in a car accident. He was absolutely horrified when he got the news - who wouldn't - and he waited with his parents at the hospital for hours. Amy escaped with a broken arm and a long scrape down her cheek (Parker remembers cringing when he saw it). The news that his other sister, Ashley, had been killed in the accident was just shocking and devastating. On top of that, Amy was so withdrawn for a while that Parker was scared she was going to slip into a depression and he felt the obligation to keep an eye on her - which he still does. So it was just around that time that a happier even happened - one Parker felt was a relief after all the sadness.
Andrew bought a two year old filly at an auction appropriately named Leap of Faith since they knew absolutely nothing about her besides her lineage. She really was a "leap of faith" since everyone was skeptical about how well she would do on the track - Parker felt drawn to her however, and was one of the few who believed in her. Her first two races as a two-year old weren't very impressive - she placed, but barely. Then they changed her jockey and she won her third race by a length. Everyone thought it was a fluke, but she kept winning. And really, no one was less surprised than Parker. He helped her out - grooming her, exercising her, etc. - and she had a successful career until she was four, then she was retired. Parker kept riding her, however, instead of turning her into a broodmare. He does a bit of novice jumping and dressage with her (no showing), though he isn't nearly as good as Amy. Currently, he brought her with him to Lexington where Parker and Amy are looking for jobs.

-- part of my post from another site
a boy on horse-back walked through the grassy area surrounding the stable block, holding the reins in one hand. though the boy was quite tall for his age, and he palomino mare he rode was a small breed, they looked right. parker rode bareback; he had felt the need for a relaxing ride on his peruvian paso mare, delilah, and he always loved the strong connection he felt when he was actually touching the mare's back as he rode. delilah certainly looked like she had enjoyed the ride as well, her head was raised but her ears flicked back to listen to her rider, and she walked with a spring in her stride but waited for the cue from parker before she sped up. as they rode past a few of the pastures, parker clicked softly with his tongue and delilah moved forward into the graceful, floating gait that was a trade-mark to her breed. he patted her neck, noticing how thick it was becoming ( it wouldn't be long until she and the other horses would be wearing full-fledged winter coats ), and he ran his fingers through the silky, lighter strands of her mane. it was as they were approaching the stable yard that parker noticed the truck.
his hands gently pulled on the reins and delilah slowed almost instantly. parker couldn't help smile as he praised her with another pat. he had had the mare for at least ten years, she was his first horse, and he loved how responsive she was. it was more than he could say for her son, his other horse, a seven year old paso cross. as he cooled delilah off, parker couldn't help noticing a girl, his age maybe, she was actually quite petite and tiny, bringing in two horses into stable. he was surprised by how large the two horses looked next to the girl; they would look large next to anybody. parker had never seen her before and his family owned autumn hills, so this must be a new boarder. knowing he had to be polite, and honestly he was curious to meet this new girl, parker slid off of his palomino mare and led her into the stable. he ran a hand through his thick mob of brown shag-like hair, which he hadn't bothered to comb this morning. he also hadn't worn a helmet on his ride, something that would surely cause a fit from his parents, but they weren't here anymore. parker was wearing jeans, a green sweatshirt with the sleeves pushed up, and his brown barn boots.
