-- * GENERAL APPEARANCE .
"Well, the first thing everyone seems to notice is how tall I am. Which I really don't get, because I knew guys who were taller than me on my basketball team back home. But whatever. The next thing people tend to say is that I have these really amazing blue eyes, which, again, I don't get. Brown or green probably would have looked better with the weird sandy hair color. Other than that, the noticeable things, I guess I'm in pretty good shape. Not buff or anything, but I can bench press like, 200 or something, which isn't that much. Um, I guess my abs are pretty toned. No six pack or anything, but yeah, I work out. And work. So I guess...yeah. I'm pretty average, I think."

" when tammy called me and needed me to come bail her out of jail. it was awful. it was a full two days before i could even get out of town, and then half way there, my pickup broke down. so i didn't get there until she'd been in like, 4 days. it was the flat out worst thing ever. "
-- * HISTORY.
Drew grew up with just his dad. It was the two of them, against the world, so to speak. He was born, basically of a one night stand, and as soon as he was born, his mother dumped him off on Ty. He took his father's last and lived with him at his cattle operation in Montana. The two of them were extremely close, for father and son. It came partly from that "us against the world attitude." His dad ran the ranch, more or less by himself, except for his foreman and two other ranch hands. They ran just under a thousand head of cattle and a hundred head of registered American Quarter Horses and American Paints.
By the time he was 10, he had taken on a lot of responsibilities as far as chores around the house and barnyard. He was the 10 year old going on about 25, very down to earth and responsible. Also by that time his little half sister, Tammy had been coming around for a while. At the time, he didn't like her much. Of course he didn't. She was a girl. An annoying, ugly, cootie-filled girl. Yuck. Who did like those?!
But she insisted on coming back, consistently every summer. Her third summer around the ranch, Drew finally talked her into riding a horse. It was an old ranch pony named Delilah who was fat and lazy as all get out and was also extremely barn sour. At least Tammy was a little more bearable when she was on horseback. At least they had something in common.
As the years past, they grew closer, more like a brother and sister than just awkward strangers. Drew struggled to understand her city life, and found himself mourning her loss when her father died, found himself angry on her behalf when their mom's new boyfriend moved in. More than anything else he just wanted to bring her out to Montana to live with him and his dad. He knew how much she had enjoyed her summers there, and it had to be better than what was happening then.
Of course, life went on outside Tammy, his own life. School was a constant. He wasn't an especially attentive student, and he did the bare minimum. He scraped by with mostly B's and the A or C here and there. He was also an avid basketball player, which kept him busy during the winter months when he couldn't be riding and training and such thanks to winter weather. He was starting his sophomore year, and by junior year he was one of the star players, by far the strongest post the team had. He was also a good ball handler and could play guard when it was needed. His team went to state tournaments his sophomore, junior, and senior years, although the best they ever did was a fourth in 11th grade. Still, it was fun.
He never got in to the partying the way the rest of the team did, though. No alcohol, no drugs, ever. He hasn't even been tipsy. He was the good boy, and he had too much to do around the ranch to get caught up in anything bad. During the Spring, Summer, and Autumn, he was riding and training and helping with the cattle.
By the time he graduated, he was ready to get out of that town for a while. It took a while to get everything together, but eventually he ended up in Kadin, Kentucky, and it wasn't long before Tammy was following him.
